Fire leaves Bedourie's gas supply empty
The Simpson Desert Oasis Roadhouse, located at the northern end of Bedourie, has been destroyed following a fire.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said officers from Mount Isa Fire Brigade were flown into Bedourie early Tuesday morning to assist local volunteer firefighters.
Mount Isa Fire Brigade Officer on site in Bedourie, Jarrod Ollivaro, said the Rural Fire Service did an amazing job at containing the flames.
The town currently has no access to petrol or diesel. However, QFES are working with local government to resupply Bedourie's fuel supply.
Investigations are ongoing and is being treated as "non-suspicious". It is believed the fire began from the roadhouse's storage facilities.
