In today’s Longreach Leader, Mayor Rayner says he is looking forward to delivering for the community.

“Our community has elected a good mix of experience and enthusiasm, and as a group we’re working well,” he writes.

“We have been duly elected at a point in time where our nation, and the world, is facing an unprecedented crisis.

“As civic leaders we will be faced with an enormous community expectation to support Queensland Health and other authorities to both manage the crisis from a health and economic perspective.

“This will place an increased level of responsibility on top of our existing workloads.”
